About the project
Hereva was hired to assist Ohana with the programming, planning and implementation of the renovation and move into the 1st floor office and lab space. Hereva worked with Ohana to identify all project milestones and key owner decisions throughout the process.
We performed a thorough inventory of all lab equipment as well as office furniture and equipment. Several planning sessions were conducted with office and lab stakeholders to confirm what would be relocated, and what would be purchased new. We engaged with outside resources for procurement of new items as required. This included providing resources and guidance in the selection of design elements.
Because this was a temporary space for Ohana, they decided to move forward with procuring and installing Hush workspaces as opposed to traditionally built phone rooms and meeting spaces. These freestanding but fully acoustically sound and electrified “pods” are a smart alternative to permanent infrastructures because they allowed Ohana to make a one-time investment into an asset they keep forever.
